Why I do this work

Words matter to me. Ever since I was a teenager and the work my dad did with children in care became a national news story, I’ve had a deep understanding of the power written words have.

I’ve worked as a writer for most of my adult life and am completely addicted to words. Using words to say who you really are, to get what’s on the inside out, means you get to make a difference.

What I want is for more purpose driven, heart-led mums to be making the difference they want. Whether you’re a homeopath, interior designer, illustrator or financial coach, I’ll bet what you do makes your clients’ lives better and happier.

The coaching

My coaching blends 17 years copywriting experience with a fierce commitment to helping you create the sales page your business needs. I am there to hold your hand and get you over the finish line, to make sure you get the work done!

I guide you through all aspects of a professional sales page, including writing, editing, calls to action, headlines, sub-titles, spelling, grammar, tone of voice, content and final check.

  1. When you sign up I send you a clarity questionnaire that you fill in before our first call. This questionnaire will provide the background you need to be able to write a distinctive, powerful page.
  2. We have an hour-long Zoom call (recorded so you can return to it as needed). By the end of the call you will have clarity on all the things you need to write your sales page.
  3. I provide you with a sales page template and a copy checklist.
  4. You write your first draft and return it to me.
  5. I provide video feedback on your first draft.
  6. You write your second draft and return it to me.
  7. I provide final video feedback.
  8. You make the changes, hit publish, and get your message out there!

I can get this information from youtube or free downloads, why should I pay for it?

You can get bits of it, for sure. But even when you can get enough information together to write a sales page, how do you know if the information is any good, or effectively implement it even if it is? You also won’t get a detailed plan of action, one-to-one guidance, accountability, copy check or tuition tailored for you and your business.

But why shouldn't I get the info from that $49 online course?

Please feel free to do so! I'm not here to convince anyone. But marketing queen Polly Lavarello recently shared the stat that 85-95% of people who take online courses don’t even finish them.

I don’t just want you to finish my coaching, I want you to effectively implement it. I’m not just here to encourage you, but to make sure you’re doing it right, hence the one-to-one element. Hence the higher than $49 price tag.

How long does the process take, from start to finish?

This service works best within a time frame of about a week. You don’t want to rush it, it’s important to go deep and make sure we’re including everything we need to, but a strong forward momentum will energise the project and get you quickly up and running. At the same time, you’re a mum, and stuff happens (hello surprise inset days!), so if you need to be flexible with time, we can incorporate that too.

I need this to be done by tomorrow, can we do it quickly?

Then this isn’t for you. It’s not a one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter approach. It’s a bespoke service that takes a bit of time, energy and thought.

Do you guarantee I’ll make more sales?

Nope! It would be fraudulent to. There are too many other variables involved, including your marketing funnel, audience targeting and web page design, to make such claims. What I do guarantee is that as long as you follow my guidance, the copywriting part of the equation will be the strongest it possibly can be.

I’m really crap at spelling and grammar, can I still do this?

Absolutely! Fear of spelling and grammar stops far more people than it should from writing. I’ll let you in on a secret…no one knows all the rules. Although I don’t mark up your copy as a proof-reader would, there’s no way any embarrassing errors will get past that final check of mine!
